Cover Magazine - The Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) is contacting consultants treating privately funded patients in the UK, asking them to provide the fees they charge to self-pay patients, following new requirements laid out by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). A recent investigation by the CMA found a lack of transparency in the charges patients can expect to pay when accessing private care and as a result hospitals are encouraged to support patient choice and sign-up to the price transparency measures.
